SCAI Document Generator


The SCAI® Document Generator (SDG) is an engine which enables you to create both document templates and final documents for your business correspondence automatically.

  • Simple document generation via XML Files
  • No programming in OpenOffice.org Basic or Java required
  • Update the document design at any time to ensure Corporate Identity compliance XML Schema provides a wide range of components
  • SDG is an all-purpose tool, for example as an interface between OpenOffice.org and other applications

The pre-defined structure provides you with a wide range of XML components which enable you to layout complex documents, which can then be generated automatically in OpenOffice.org.

Using a shell call, the SDG is able to convert the XML definitions into an OpenOffice.org document. The following picture shows the result:

One further example shows a simple XML structure by using the statement "SourceHardcodedValueType":

In addition to SDG, we can also offer you the SDG Extension for OpenOffice.org, a Java-based front-end for OpenOffice.org.

The SDGx Extension is a Java-based frontend for generating documents and templates with XML Script.

  • Simple installation as an OpenOffice.org Extension
  • No programming necessary in OpenOffice.org Basic
  • Simple modification of document design, using the SDG XML files

 

The SCAI® Document Generator comes complete with a whole suite of sample XML scripts. These enable you to layout complex documents, which can then be generated automatically in OpenOffice.org. You can modify or augment the scripts as desired.

The dialogs can be modified easily to meet your specific needs.

The SDG Engine is also available without the frontend.
